more october!

so, last friday i picked up one of my bestest friends camille from her office for lunch. two hours later, i dropped her back off. it was so good to see her and catch up on life!! i brought along my camera to document our afternoon adventure together, but true to form i forgot to actually snap a picture. as a i was perusing my photo archive to find a replacement pic, i definitely found this picture of the two of us from when we lived together that always seems to bring a smile to my face. (i heart you, camille!)

this weekend was general conference for the church. to learn more about it, click here. thankfully, i got to go to the saturday afternoon and sunday afternoon sessions at the conference center in salt lake. what an experience! i just love listening to living prophets! on saturday, i took some girlfriends up with me, and we chilled out in the slc after the session. thanks for coming with, girls!

spanish fork canyon!

last night my provo ward went camping up spanish fork canyon. it was fun to play with my provo friends one last time before moving away! highlights included volleyball, badminton, frisbee, a trampoline, a campfire, tin foil dinners, s'mores, 3 porch swings, a stream, horses, and pretty views. here is some photo documentation...

overall, it was great to get away from the city, even for just a little bit!

ysa summit!

this weekend, some friends and i participated in the ysa summit: salt lake conference. some of the events included a carnival, a dance, workshops, sports, a service activity, and a fireside at the tabernacle featuring elder clark of the seventy. here are some of us at the outdoor concert saturday night...

on saturday, some friends and i went to a salt lake bees game. the salt lake bees are the minor league team that feed into the angels. we had a great time! the fireworks after the game were hands down the best i have ever seen!!

pioneer day!

to celebrate pioneer day, some salt lake friends and i went on a "glorified nature walk." five hours, seven miles, some steep inclines, and one lake later, we had a great afternoon!
