redemption.

so, anybody that reads this blog knows that i sometimes forget to blog. ok, i forget a lot. but in an effort to redeem myself, here is a whole slew of photos highlighting just some of the highlights over the last couple of months...

mom and bryan came up to utah at the beginning of july to help me move in to my new apartment (did i mention that i moved?). bryan stayed for an extra week, which i loved! after work, he and i went to city creek, museums, and other random places around the valley. here is a shot taken during our sunday drive through holladay...
bryan and me at snowbird to watch the sandlot...so fun!

graduation!
so, i officially graduated with my master's degree (woohoo!) in june, but i walked with some of my cohort of classmates in august. i miss seeing these people every day and night! here are some of us...katherine, sarai, me, cambrie, katie, kristi, amy, alyssa, and erin.
the hood.
spenny and me.
me and the parentals
the sibs (thanks for coming, guys!)
 more of the sibs
the cohort at convocation...me, nicole, katherine, katie, kristi, alyssa amy, erin

as part of some of the graduation festivities, we spent one afternoon up in park city to hit up the alpine slide. i hadn't been on this thing since i was a kid. so fun!

brigham city!
a couple of weeks ago, some friends and i went up to brigham city to see the new lds temple there. it was beautiful. i love to see the temple!

work!
back in may, i officially starting working as a speech-language pathologist for my clinical fellowship year. this picture post is super delayed, but here's the plaque outside of my office. i feel so legit :) p.s. i love, love my job. seriously love my job. i feel so blessed!

bishop and sister rust!

this picture is for my fellow enclaveians who may read this blog. our former bishop and his wife were recently released from the ward, and i complied a book for them as a remembrance of their time in the enclave. here's the cover of the finished product.

utah state fair!
a couple of weekends ago, i went to my first ever state fair. so fun! one of the highlights included eating deep fried oreos. so disgusting, yet so delicious. i had to say that i had done it!
me and the biebs. wow. so dreamy.

feliz cumpleaƱos, mexico!
last weekend, my roommate and i hosted a birthday party for mexico (it was mexican independence day on sunday). mostly we just wanted to throw a party that included a pinata and 7-layer dip. mission accomplished.

there was a monetary prize for the most clever slogan at the party.  these are a few of my favorites.

 the spread.
the dip.

spencer!
with the move up to salt lake, i have gotten to see a lot more of this kid in recent weeks. i love being so close! i can't seem to get enough! i love being an auntie em!
